Sadly, due to the current Covid 19 crisis, we have been as yet unable to start our 2020 sailing season. Like the rest of the world, our lives are now on hold and we all must do whatever we can to stop the spread of this pandemic. We are currently, and will continue working with all of the relevant authorities to monitor this evolving situation. As soon as it is possible to do so, without compromising the health and safety of our staff, crew or passengers, we will be back sailing.
Options for Passengers with Pre-Paid Tickets
For all who have booked boat trips with us, we thank you for your patience as we try our best to grapple with this crisis. It is a mammoth challenge for our small company to come to terms with the enormity of this situation, so please bear with us. We are working through each and every booking and contacting all of our passengers to arrange alternatives with you, starting with those due to travel in April and May.
Your options include
- Reschedule your trip – free of charge for any date to October 31 2020
- Convert your booking to an open-ended gift voucher to any date in the future
- Cancel your booking free of charge if you had booked to sail up to May 31, 2020
- If you have booked through third party agent, such as Get Your Guide or Viator, then you should go back to the agent directly to discuss your options.
The best way to contact us is to email firstname.lastname@example.org.
There is some heart-warming news in these sad times– the Aran Islands remain Covid 19 FREE. We are currently working on comprehensive hygiene protocols for passengers and crew to ensure we play our role in keeping everyone safe when we sail again. Don’t worry, when we ARE sailing, you will hear about it, we will be shouting it from the rooftops – watch for updates on our social media channels.
We sincerely hope that this crisis will pass soon for all of us. We look forward to taking you and your families out sailing – what better way to celebrate our freedom than to breathe the Wild Atlantic air. In the meantime, stay safe, stay home and stay well.
With all our best wishes from our families to yours,
Donie, Eugene, Joe and PJ Garrihy and all the team at Garrihys Doolin2Aran Ferries
