Our Environmental Policy

To show that we at Doolin2Aran Ferries are committed to this policy, we undertake to:

Operate sound environmental practices across our entire operation, ashore and afloat.
Promote the Geopark Code of Practice and Leave No Trace policies to our passengers and suppliers.
Produce an annual Environmental Plan setting out our Objectives, Targets and planned Actions
Manage and minimise our waste and reduce our water consumption where possible
Reduce, Reuse, Recycle the resources consumed by our business wherever practical
Fully comply with all relevant legislation
Encourage our customers, suppliers and contractors to participate in our efforts to protect the environment
Provide all employees with the necessary training and resources required to meet our objectives
Openly communicate our policies and practices to interested parties
Monitor and record our environmental impacts on a regular basis and compare our performance with our policies, objectives and targets
Continuously promote sustainable transport options through our staff, our website and our booking/tourist office information

To introduce better recycling in all offices and boats and to reduce the waste we send to landfill by 5%

To work with local agencies to improve the protection of the seabirds at the cliffs and to educate the public about their habitat

To engage in a local “Clean Up” at least once a year in conjunction with Doolin Tidy Towns
To communicate our performance & achievements through the ferry website, social media and a quarterly ezine
